Aroostook Fashion Show & Fundraiser

Aroostook ChampsWWC honored four regional champions at its 30th Anniversary Fall Fashion Show & Fundraiser held on Sunday, October 26 at the Aroostook Shrine Club in Presque Isle.  Peter Caron, Director of Adult Education in Fort Kent, and Judy Ayotte Paradis, community leader and former legislator from Frenchville, are shown here with WWC staff Suzanne Senechal-Jandreau.  Others recognized were Mary Nevin, co-owner of Northern Lights Motel and ”Cookies and Cuts” and Mary MacBride, community leader and former legislator, both from Presque Isle. “We appreciate the role our partners play in supporting the success of women and families in Aroostook County,” said Senechal-Jandreau, Regional Manager. The Fashion Show featured models of all ages showcasing clothing from local retailers.  Also recognized were 3 WWC graduates whose stories are included in ”Creating the Future: 30 Stories from the Maine Economy”:  Judy Bossie, A Moment in Time Photography; Robin Jenkins, Robin’s Chocolate Sauce; and Gail Thibault, an NMCC student.
